Final piece in this “Tokyo Storefront” watercolour illustration series. This is a really interesting sushi shop located in the Yanaka Tokyo district. I like how this building combines traditional Japanese elements with this designer’s white front and huge but simple sign.
With this piece the storefronts series is finished. I really enjoyed painting the shops so I will probably do more such illustrations in the future. I will change the subject and the format a little bit though - I would like to paint some more horizontal buildings (like the Japanese bathhouses for example)!
For now, ON to the next project as soon as my studio workload decreases a little (we are working 7 days a week right now). Thank you for watching and sharing this series!
